At the VIRGO gravitational-wave detector, Italy

About me

I am Bence Bécsy, a postdoctoral researcher at Oregon State University. My research focuses on gravitational waves, but I am fascinated by every aspect of astrophysics. I am a member of the NANOGrav collaboration, which aims to detect low-frequency gravitational waves by observing millisecond pulsars. I am also a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, which operates the LIGO gravitational-wave detectors.

I earned my PhD in Physics at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, USA. I also have a Physics MSc and BSc from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary.
